Savvy Sliders, Fat Boy's Pizza announce co-branded Florida locations

Savvy Sliders and Fat Boy's Pizza will open co-branded restaurants in Florida later this year, marking the state debut for Louisiana-based Fat Boy's Pizza, according to a press release.

The first joint locations will open at 3298 Margaritaville Blvd. in Kissimmee and 2477 E. Sunrise Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale, offering both menus under one roof.

"Florida has been an important growth market for us and we couldn't be more excited to introduce Fat Boy's Pizza to an entirely new audience," Happy Asker, founder and CEO of Happy Group LLC, which owns both brands, said in the release. "Pairing Fat Boy's legendary oversized pizza with Savvy Sliders' premium sliders, creates a dining experience that's fun, memorable and unlike anything else available."

Fat Boy's Pizza is known for slices "bigger than your head" and whole pies that reach up to 30 inches. The menu also includes wings, salads and hand-spun milkshakes.

Savvy Sliders, which originated in Commerce Township, Michigan, in 2018, has grown to more than 55 locations across seven states. Its menu features fresh Angus beef, English cod, hand-breaded chicken and vegetarian falafel sliders.

Both concepts are part of Michigan-based Happy Group LLC, a restaurant company that also owns and operates BurgerFi and Happy's Pizza.
