Sliders brand Smalls Sliders has inked a deal with entrepreneur Matthew Wiggins to bring six units to Southeast Houston. Smalls Sliders calls their restaurants "Cans," according to a press release.
The franchise signed two multi-unit deals in the city, one for five cans and another for seven, to continue its growth in Houston. Smalls Sliders has more than 15 cans slated for Houston alone.
"Texas is hot right now for growth, especially for Smalls Sliders as we have over nearly 100 Cans under development in the state alone," Don Crocker, CDO of Smalls Sliders, said in the press release. "Houston is home to many Frequent Sliders already, and we can't wait to bring our 'Smaucy' experience to more communities throughout the area."
Smalls Sliders plans to open six cans over the next five years, with the first slated to open in 2025. The brand is actively eying real estate in key markets including Pearland, League City, Galveston, Kemah, Texas City and Friendswood.
Smalls Sliders is the brainchild of restauranteur Brandon Landry, led by industry veteran Maria Rivera, CEO, and is backed by 10 Point Capital and former NFL star Drew Brees as investors. The brand has more than 350 cans open or under development.
