Smalls Sliders has inked a deal with development group Slidin' Thru ICT to open five units across Kansas, according to a press release.
The development group is owned by Jim and Teresa Sorlie and their son, Colton.
The deal will bring restaurants, dubbed "cans" by Smalls Sliders, to Wichita, Manhattan and Salina, with the first location expected to open in early 2025.
"After being introduced to the brand by our son-in-law, we were immediately drawn to the unique concept and its exciting appeal," Teresa Sorlie said in the press release. "We had the opportunity to meet the leadership team in Atlanta and were greatly impressed — their love and clear vision for the brand was contagious. Once we saw the brand's explosive growth beyond its roots in the Southeast, we knew we wanted to bring it to Kansas. We're thrilled to play a part in growing the Smalls name to the Midwest and introducing it to our community soon."
"Growing alongside such esteemed entrepreneurs like the Sorlies is a key reason why Smalls Sliders is on another level in the QSR industry," Maria Rivera, CEO of Smalls Sliders, said in the press release. "This is a tremendous opportunity for us to continue growing in the Midwest, and we look forward to supporting their team as we continue dropping cans across the country."
