Smith returns to Captain D's as VP of marketing

NASHVILLE — Sandra Clingan Smith has been named as vice president of marketing for the Captain D's Seafood chain, the company announced in a news release.
Smith, who held the same position from 1995 to 1999, will be responsible for the company's direct brand development, print and broadcast advertising campaigns, promotions planning and local store marketing strategies.
"We're excited to have Sandy Smith's dynamic energy and creative leadership back at the helm of Captain D's marketing efforts, " said David Head, Captain D's president and chief operating officer. Prior to her Captain D's return, Smith held marketing positions at Hardee's Food Systems Inc., the Quaker Oats Company; Frito-Lay, Inc.; and Louis Dreyfus Corporation.
