Smokey Bones' virtual brands ask, 'Are you experienced?'

Smokey Bones, a casual dining brand, has added a second virtual brand to its repertoire, in addition to its virtual Wing Experience, according to a spokeswoman for the brand. As a result, she told QSRweb that this means Smokey Bones is essentially adding 122 restaurants overnight.

The two brands promise to deliver a different experience to burger and wing customers, a news release said. Food from The Wing Experience and The Burger Experience comes from Smokey Bones kitchens, while Uber Eats -- which worked with the restaurant to develop the virtual brands -- delivers the orders.

"By opening these new virtual restaurants, we can shine a brighter light on the taste and quality of our burger and wing offerings," CEO James O'Reilly said in the release. "We are bullish about these products and confident in our expansion strategy, having already seen good results in our other virtual restaurant locations."

The Wing Experience menu features signature smoked jumbo wings and jumbo breaded wings — with a choice of 14 flavors — including options that are not offered on the Smokey Bones' menu, like maple bacon BBQ wings, peach bourbon wings and "The Experience" wings, which the brand said are designed for the "expert wing eater."

The Burger Experience features a variety of premium half-pound burger options, including a build-your-own burger as well as special signature burgers such as The Big Kahuna, The Experienced Burger and The Keto. The Big Kahuna has a burger, Hawaiian barbecue pork, pepper Jack cheese, grilled pineapple and a Big Island BBQ Sauce. Sides like baked potatoes or macaroni and cheese can be added for those with really voracious appetites.

In Chicago, guests can order from kitchenunited.com, while all other cities involved have the brands available via Uber Eats.

Smokey Bones has 61 locations across 16 states and is an affiliate of Boca Raton, Florida-based Sun Capital Partners.
