Southern California McDonald's restaurants are hosting their annual McTeacher's Night fundraisers throughout October. As part of the promotion, school principals, teachers and administrators are invited behind the counter to serve their students and parents.
A portion of proceeds from each event is donated back to the host school. According to a news release, funds are often used to support educational programs, athletic and booster clubs, field trips, and purchase school supplies.
"McTeacher's Night allows our local McDonald's owner/operators to partner with school administrators and directly support our school systems," said Clay Paschen, III, McDonald's owner/operator and president of the McDonald's Operators' Association of Southern California. "Our local owner/operators enjoy their role within local communities the most and are eager to be able to provide such a fun, family-friendly event inside their restaurants."
School administrators interested in participating in McTeacher's Night, are encouraged to contact their local McDonald's restaurant to ask for details on how to create a profitable fundraiser, the release said.
