Reddit, several social media sources and Taco Bell's website all indicate that the chain might be experiencing some supply chain issues that's stifling the in-store availability of things as basic chicken, beef and even some sizes of tortillas.

Some of those complaints first surfaced on Twitter a week ago, but now Reddit is publicizing comments about a lack of hot and mild sauces at the chain, along with a post by a customer whose request for burritos was denied due to missing ingredients like tomatoes, lettuce or fresh items, as relayed by a store employee according to the reddit post. Some Taco Bell employees have also begun posting about supply shortages across social media, according to the story.

For its part, Yahoo said Taco Bell said on its website that "Due to national ingredient shortages and delivery delays, we may be out of some items." This afternoon, Taco Bell provided this statement QSRweb, related to the shortages that had been posted online.

"Due to national transportation delays happening throughout most of the industry, we may temporarily be out of some items. Apologies for the inconvenience and we hope to feed fans' current Taco Bell cravings again soon. For more information visit TacoBell.com," the company said in an email to this website.
