Sonic Drive-In, owned by Inspire Brands, has launched a line of club sandwiches featuring King's Hawaiian bread, including a chicken and burger club, according to a news release. The news comes about a month after its sister brand, Arby's, launched its own line of sandwiches featuring the slightly sweet, oversized buns

Both sandwiches feature their namesake's meat, along with lettuce, tomato, bacon, Swiss and a honey mustard-barbecue sauce for $4.99.

"Combining sweet and savory flavors makes any dish greater than the sum of its parts," Sonic Vice President of Product Innovation and Development Scott Uehlein, said in the release. "With our new King's Hawaiian Clubs, we upgraded the familiar flavors our guests have come to love with the sweetness of King's Hawaiian bread balanced by our savory Signature Sauce and boosted by smooth Swiss cheese to create something that's going to taste and feel as warm and welcoming as Hawaii."

The LTO is available at participating outlets of the chain's 3,600 nationwide locations.
