Sonic gets repeatedly cheesy with burger LTO

Triple the cheese, double the meat — that's the promise of Sonic's new Biggie Cheese, a super-dairy-fied burger that features two all-beef patties, three slices of American cheese, grilled onions, pickles and barbecue sauce on a brioche bun, a news release said. 

The $4.99 LTO runs through Feb. 2 or while supplies last. 

"With a whopping three slices of melty cheese and two juicy beef patties, we not only made our classicly delicious cheeseburger bigger, we also loaded it up with all the fixings to create a unique Sonic masterpiece," Vice President of Product Innovation and Development Scott Uehlein said in the release.

As an Inspire Brands chain, Sonic now has almost 3,600 U.S. restaurants.
