Sonic 'slinging' chicken sandwich LTO

Sonic has launched a chicken sandwich LTO for January called the Chicken Slinger, which — like the McDonald's Crispy Chicken Sandwichannounced the same day as a permanent menu option — features crinkle-cut pickles and a breaded all-white meat fillet. The brand said in a news release that the month-long LTO will also be accompanied by a Spicy Chicken Slinger adorned with a Spicy Ranch.
"The measure of any tasty chicken sandwich is the fillet itself, so we took the time to nail down the flavors our guests have come to crave with the right seasoning, creating an irresistible, crispy bite," Scott Uehlein, Sonic vice president of product innovation and development, said in the release. "We perfected the classic burger so it was time we create(d) a chicken sandwich that rivals in undeniable flavor."
The sandwiches are priced at $2.49 and have about 350 calories each. They are available through Jan. 31 at the brand's more than 3,500 restaurants in 46 states. Sonic is part of the Inspire Brands, based in Atlanta.
