Sonic supports teachers with Limeades for Learning program

July 27, 2009

Sonic Drive-In has partnered with DonorsChoose.org, a non-profit organization that helps public school educators find resources for classroom projects, to create the new Limeades for Learning program. The Limeades for Learning program will award more than half a million dollars to various classrooms in local communities across the country during the five-week campaign, with the winning projects selected by popular online voting.

Public school educators may register their creative classroom project at www.LimeadesForLearning.com through the end of August.

Sonic customers who purchase a small- through Route 44-sized fountain or frozen drink between Aug. 31 and Oct. 1 can then go online and vote for their favorite teacher's classroom project. Each drink will have a unique code used to place one vote for the projects registered. Sonic will fund up to $100,000 of projects with the most votes each Friday for five weeks during the campaign.
