Sonic unveils lots o' Totchos

QSRs have had great success adding heat to potatoes, but potato tots have been left mostly alone. Sonic changed that this winter by introducing its nacho-inspired Totchos to its snacks menu, a news release said. 

The LTO features Sonic Tots, layered with a cheese sauce, bacon, onions and jalapenos, topped with baja sauce and available through March 1.

"Sonic Tots have become a fan favorite over the years, and we are giving them an exciting upgrade with a fiesta of cheesy nacho flavors to create a shareable snack inspired by similar delights found in gastropubs," said Scott Uehlein, vice president of product innovation and development for Sonic, in the release. 

Sonic now has more than 3,500 restaurants systemwide as part of the Inspire Brands system.
