Steak Escape promos fresh-grilled positioning with contest

Fresh-grilled cheesesteak chain Steak Escape has launched a new contest challenging its fans to share their favorite grilling photo for a chance to win one of six grills. Steak Escape is sponsoring the "6 Degrees of Grill" contest, which will give customers a chance to win prizes ranging from free food to a deluxe backyard grill.
 
Now through May 31, Steak Escape fans can post their favorite grilling photo at steakescape.com. Six finalists will be chosen and revealed June 1 on the Web site. The public will then be encouraged to vote for their favorite from June 1 to 15. The two photo entries with the most votes will each win a grill. Winners will be announced on June 18.
 
Customers also can register to win by signing up for E-scape, Steak Escape's e-newsletter, either online or at participating restaurants. Additionally, anyone who visits a Steak Escape will receive a scratch-off card for a chance to win one of two grills as well as a variety of food prizes.
 
"This is a fun way to engage our customers, while re-enforcing our brand identity," said Dave Smith, vice president of operations for Steak Escape. "We expect this contest to do a great job driving customers to our Web site both to upload their photos as well as to vote during the final phase of the contest."
 
Steak Escape mall-based restaurants operate in more than 80 cities in 23 states and three countries.
