QSR pizza brand, Stoner's Pizza Joint, opened a corporate-owned location this week, which was built under the chain's new prototype design that will be used for all standalone restaurants moving forward, a news release said.
The store on Washington Street in Columbia, South Carolina's historic Arcade Building is the first in Columbia and fourth in the state. The new design features energy-efficient LED lighting, an Instagram selfie area and a focal wall with a theme that revolves around the nearby University of South Carolina.
The store's grand opening on Jan. 26, from 1-3 p.m. will include free slices and wings, a gift card raffle and swag giveaways. Two grand prize winners will get a year's free pizza along with a $250 Super Bowl catering package.
The 6-year-old brand has set a goal of 100 locations by 2023, with plans to open in Valdosta, Georgia in early February, followed by another South Carolina location in March 2019. The brand also recently signed a franchise agreement in Florida to develop two stores and a first convenience store prototype in Nacogdoches, Texas in the coming months.
