The Footlong Cookie, a warm, chocolate chip-filled treat that proved wildly popular following its January debut, is back at Subway. Priced at $5, and available on Subway.com and the Subway app, the Footlong Cookie is part of the chain's Sidekicks menu of footlong snacks, according to a press release.
The return of the Footlong Cookie comes after months of high demand, according to Subway. A survey found 70% of respondents said eating a Footlong Cookie would brighten their day, rivaling even the mood-boosting power of playing with puppies (cited by 89% of respondents). Younger generations were especially enthusiastic, with 75% of millennials and 77% of Gen Z reporting the Footlong Cookie's return as a mood-lifter.
"The Footlong Cookie has delighted millions of Americans since their first bites in January, sparking unprecedented demand over the last several months," Paul Fabre, SVP of culinary and innovation at Subway, said in the release. "Subway worked diligently to rush additional Footlong Cookie supply to satisfy cookie cravings at a great value and serve up a footlong dose of happiness this summer."
Since introducing the Footlong Cookie in January, Subway has sold more than five million cookies.
Subway operates nearly 37,000 restaurants in more than 100 countries and territories.
