Subway gets its garlic on

Subway is getting its garlic on, by launching its ultimate cheesy garlic bread covered in butter, roasted garlic, Parmesan and shredded mozzarella. Now through Feb. 27 the new bread variety can be used on two of the chain's classic sandwiches, including the ultimate meatball marinara and spicy Italian, a news release said,.  

"When people first hear about the New Ultimate Cheesy Garlic Bread, they usually tell us we had them at, 'Hello'," Subway Vice President of Global Brand & Innovation Len Van Popering, reiterating that famous line from the movie, Jerry Maguire, about falling in love "Pairing two of our most iconic sandwiches with arguably the most delicious cheesy garlic bread ever served delivers a flavor experience unlike anything in the market today." 

Over the last year or so, Subway has been transforming itself through a number of initiatives, including items like Signature Wraps and the Chipotle Cheesesteak on Sunflower Crunch Bread LTO, as well as a partnership with Tastemade.
