Subway India has added loaded Signature Wraps with either multigrain or spinach tortillas as permanent menu items in the country. The wraps double the protein inside and are available with meat and in a vegetarian version, for the equivalent of about $3 to $3.50 in U.S. dollars.
"Signature wraps is a big attempt by us to expand the choice for our guests besides sandwiches and salads," Subway South Asia Head of Marketing Shuchi Monga said in the release. "We already have smaller sized wraps which worked as a snacking item but this one is more satisfying because of bigger size and with double the filling."
In India, the brand has developed special pillow packs for the wraps to make them easier to eat on-the-go and deliver. Likewise, a marketing campaign with the launch emphasized the wraps as a solution to the everyday stress of life. Subway began operating in India 18 years ago and now has more than 650 restaurants in more than 70 Indian cities.
