Subway, Jared mark decade of partnership

AdAge: Subway spokesman Jared Fogle, who lost 245 pounds on a diet of sub sandwiches, is marking 10 years with the chain. He's appeared in more than 50 commercials, outlasted four ad agencies and regularly tops likeability and recall ratings. Since Fogle started appearing in its ads, Subway sales have more than doubled to $8.2 billion.

To celebrate its decade of Jared, Subway is launching TV spots featuring well-known athletes congratulating him on his success. Fogle has embarked on a "Tour de Pants" that kicked off recently in New York and will retire his trousers — likely to a museum — at year's end.
