Subway says 'Cauliflower: It's not just for pizza crust anymore'

Subway is testing cauliflower fritters in wraps and dippers in Baltimore and Seattle, served with an option for a creamy curry sauce, a news release said. 

The fritters can be ordered as either a cauliflower curry or cauliflower Ranch wrap, or as the aforementioned dippables. The brand said that its data indicates that 70% of people are trying to add to their daily intake of vegetables and the fritters are, in part, a response to that. 

In the curry wrap, the fritters come rolled with lettuce, red onions, green peppers and banana peppers with curry sauce on a spinach wrap, while the Ranch wrap uses a tomato basil wrap, with fritters, spinach, tomatoes, red onions, jalapenos and ranch sauce.
