Subway selects MicroStrategy's reporting solution

Subway has selected MicroStrategy Inc., as its provider of enterprise-wide reporting and analytics software for the sandwich chains network of more than 31,000 franchised locations.
 
MicroStrategy-based reports and dashboards will provide Subway franchise owners and executives with sales performance data and key business metrics. Subway users also will be able to gain detailed insights into individual product sales by store and by time of day, and can view the data to identify sales trends and opportunities.
 
"We were impressed with MicroStrategy's data scalability, as well as its ease of use for our diverse user population and its low total cost of ownership," said Subway chief technology officer Thys Van Hout.
  
The announcement follows Subways' independent franchisee-owned and operated purchasing cooperative's selection in May of Change Dynamics' IT Symphony solution for the chain's U.S. and Canadian locations. IT Symphony provides IPC applications such as member tracking, Web site support for franchisees and point-of-sale and Subway Card processing.
