Subway World Headquarters adopts UltiPro HR solution

February 15, 2010

Franchise World Headquarters LLC, the service organization for Subway's restaurant franchise system, has selected Ultimate Software's unified human capital management solution UltiPro to provide human resources, payroll, recruitment, onboarding, time and attendance, and performance management for its employees.

"UltiPro is extremely configurable and can address nearly all of our needs without costly customizations," said Darren Oliver, business process analyst for Franchise World Headquarters. "In fact, during our evaluation, we identified 26 manual processes that can be automated out-of–the-box. We're also very excited to unify talent management, HR, and payroll across our company with UltiPro."

Subway headquarters has been using a payroll service bureau for its U.S.-based payroll processes along with in-house databases and spreadsheets to store and manage HR data. By centralizing all of its human capital data with UltiPro, Subway's headquarters will be able to reduce errors, eliminate duplicate entry, enhance business intelligence reporting, decrease paper-based processes and reduce overall spending on HCM systems. The company also is looking forward to the convenience of Ultimate's secure Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery model. With UltiPro through SaaS, Subway's headquarters won't need any additional IT resources or infrastructure to support its HCM solution.

"We were very impressed with Ultimate's security and its Safe Harbor compliance. Ultimate Software can devote significantly more resources to support its solution than we could if we managed the solution on-premise," Oliver said. "UltiPro will also free our IT resources for other projects, and because it's available on a predictable per-employee-per-month basis, Ultimate's SaaS will enable us to accurately budget for our ongoing HRIS-related expenses."
