The most ubiquitous restaurant chain in the world is about to grow its footprint even more. Subway will debut in the Romanian market in April, opening its first unit in Iasi, located in the northeastern part of the country, according to the Romania-Insider.
The restaurant will be part of the Palas Iasi, a lifestyle center that includes shopping, hotels, apartments and entertainment. The complex also will be inaugurated in April.
Subway also announced it was expanding into Romania in 2010. The company already has a presence in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Slovakia and Croatia.
McDonald's, Burger King and KFC are also open in Romania.
