Taco Bell adds diamond ring to Chalupa offering

LAS VEGAS — Taco Bell is pairing its Ultimate Chalupa with a 2-carat diamond engagement ring valued at $14,000. The company is promoting the pairing as the "Ulti-Mate" Chalupa.

 

According to a news release, the "Ulti-Mate" Chalupa is available for purchase during a week-long auction on eBay (keyword: Ultimate Chalupa), with bidding starting at $10,000. The proceeds from the auction will directly benefit the Taco Bell Foundation, which has successfully raised more than $15 million to benefit at-risk teens.

 

The Ultimate Chalupa features a Chalupa shell filled with layers of marinated carne asada steak, fiesta salsa prepared fresh daily, sour cream, guacamole, a blend of three-cheeses and lettuce. The limited-time-product carries a suggested retail price of $2.19 and is available through June 25 at participating Taco Bell locations.
