Taco Bell Australian franchisee Collins Foods will open more than 50 restaurants across the country over the next three years, a news release said. The brand opened its first Australian outlet last November in Annerley.
Though timings and locations are yet to be revealed, Collins Foods has cited South East Queensland as a priority, where new restaurants are already confirmed to open in Robina, Cleveland and North Lakes over the coming months.
"We have had an overwhelming response to the launch of Taco Bell in Brisbane, and we know that the Australian market is hungry for more," said Ankush Tuli, managing director Taco Bell, Asia Pacific.
There are more than 400 Taco Bell restaurants across 28 countries outside of the United States, with the goal of expanding the brand's international presence to 1,000 restaurants by 2022. The company and its franchisees operate more than 7,000 restaurants, generating more than $9B in sales.
