Taco Bell expands breakfast waffle test

News of Taco Bell's Waffle Taco test spread quickly this summer, and now the brand is taking things a bit further. Spotted in Orange County, Calif., this week in test were the Chicken & Waffle Taco and the Very Berry Waffle Taco.

According to BrandEating.com, the two new versions are available all day.

The Chicken & Waffle Taco includes a breaded chicken patty folded inside a folded waffle (with the appearance of a taco shell). It is served with gravy or syrup. The Very Berry Waffle Taco is a folded waffle filled with whipped cream and blueberries and strawberries.

This test comes on the heels of Popeyes' launch of chicken waffle tacos last month.

Taco Bell currently has a breakfast menu in about 800 stores in the West.
