Taco Bell has revealed additional details for what could be its "biggest launch to date" during the upcoming Super Bowl 50. Following the redacted press release issued by the brand Jan. 7, the latest announcement gives fans a small glimpse of what's next, including the first Taco Bell pre-order for its latest menu item and teasers of the ad that will air during the game, according to a company press release.
"We felt the biggest media event of the year offered a perfect opportunity for us to announce what might be our biggest launch ever! However, with respect to our biggest fans (and those who just love to be the first to get their hands on the next big thing), we didn't want to make them wait that long," said Marisa Thalberg, chief marketing O\officer for Taco Bell Corp. "That's why, as part of the next phase of our big reveal, we've created a pre-order program on Ta.co that will give people special access to try it a full two days before everyone else. There's just one thing: it's a 'blind' pre-order. Trust us, though; it's worth it."
Fans are invited to pre-order the brand's next food innovation on Ta.co. Taco Bell is welcoming customers who pre-order on Ta.co to pick up their reserved food item from 2 until 4 p.m., Saturday local time at stores nationwide, before it's available everywhere Sunday, the release stated.
Taco Bell also shared details of three live, pop-up performances in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Toledo from Feed The Beat bands Jacob Whitesides, The Mowgli's and Never Shout Never for fans when they pick up their reserved pre-order item Saturday.
Along with the announcement of their pre-order events, Taco Bell shared new digital teasers for the 30-second spot that is set to air during the first quarter of Super Bowl 50. Taco Bell's newest new menu item is so top secret that the talent appearing in the spot didn't know what it was and had to film it with a green screen box. The teasers were created by Deutsch and feature basketball player James Harden and alien expert Giorgio Tsoukalos who are both set to appear in the commercial during the game.
