Taco Bell rings in at grocery, c-stores

March 23, 2018

In May, Taco Bell tortilla chips will make their debut in groceries and convenience stores in classic, mild and fire sauce packet flavors, a news release said.

"This launch of our first line of sauce packet-inspired chips gives our fans a new way to access a taste of Taco Bell," Taco Bell Chief Brand Officer Marisa Thalberg, said in the release. "Our sauce packets are one of the brand's most unique aspects and were the natural choice for both the flavors and packaging of our tortilla chips."

Classic chips are salted, while mild chips have the kick of the chain's mild sauce with three chili peppers and cumin. The Fire tortilla chips contain jalapeño, chili peppers and paprika, according to the release.

Classics come in 1-, 3.5-, 13- and 30-ounce bags, while Fire and Mild flavors come in 1-, 3.5-, 11- and 30-ounce bags with pricing set by each retail outlet.
