Taco Bell testing a taco biscuit for breakfast menu

Taco Bell announced today it is testing new offerings for its fledgling breakfast menu.

September 5, 2014

Taco Bell announced today it is testing new offerings for its fledgling breakfast menu. The brand launched the morning daypart in February. Among the items being tested are a biscuit taco, the A.M. California Crunchwrap and the A.M. Country Crunchwrap.

The company said these options were created by looking "at the variety of consumer's favorite foods," including country gravy and Southern biscuits, as well as California-inspired food featuring guacamole.

Biscuit taco

Taco Bell’s new Biscuit Taco includes a warm biscuit, made with real butter and buttermilk, shaped in the form of a taco, served with either sausage, egg and cheese; bacon, egg and cheese; crispy chicken with country gravy; or crispy chicken with honey). The crispy chicken biscuit tacos also come with the brand's new jalapeno honey sauce.

The company initially tested the biscuit taco in San Antonio and Atlanta. It is currently testing in select restaurants in the Orange County/Los Angeles area.

New A.M. Crunchwraps

Taco Bell is also testing extensions of its A.M. Crunchwrap, with a new A.M. California Crunchwrap and A.M. Country Crunchwrap.

  • The A.M. California Crunchwrap is filled with bacon, hashbrown, eggs, guacamole, cheddar cheese and pico de gallo.
  • The A.M. Country Crunchwrap is filled with sausage, hashbrown, eggs, classic gravy and cheddar cheese.

Both have gone through local test in select Orange County and Los Angeles stores, and will be available nationally in mid-October.
