Taco Bell to open 2-story concept store in Minnesota

Taco Bell will officially open its new concept location Taco Bell Defy in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The two-story building will feature multiple lanes where people can pick up their food, according to a report by WHAS 11.

The kitchen will be located on the second story, which will use a vertical lift to deliver the food below to customers. A Minnesota company Workshop created this concept to deliver a more efficient contactless experience.

"We took that idea, and lifted all the operations of the kitchen up off the ground, and made four or five lanes of traffic that go through it, and we serve walk ups, we serve people on bikes, and we serve lanes of people thru traffic," Josh Hanson, concept co-creator at Workshop, told the news outlet.

The Taco Bell Defy location will open in April 2022.
