Taco Bell will open its first store in the United Kingdom in June at the Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex, reports The Independent.
From the story:
Nick Dawson, the general manager for Taco Bell UK and Europe, said: "There is a gap in the quick service market for a fresh concept like ours, and I am confident that our wide range of exciting new menu items at unbeatable prices will prove very popular over here."
In addition to the United Kingdom, Taco Bell parent company Yum! Brands' Yum! Restaurants International division is focused on driving aggressive expansion in markets outside of China, the company said in its latest earnings report.
YRI has recently entered France, India and Russia, which has contributed to a 14 percent system sales growth, excluding foreign currency translation. Taco Bell opened its first store in India during the quarter with extremely strong sales.
The company also is focused expansion in emerging markets including Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Brazil.
