Taco Bell's menu additions inspired by authenticity

Taco Bell's menu expands today, with the introduction of its Cantina Taco line. The Cantina Tacos are available with fire-grilled chicken, Carne Asada steak or Carnitas shredded pork served in a grilled corn tortilla and topped with chopped onion, cilantro blend and a sliced lime wedge.

The line is inspired by the street vendors of Mexico.

"Our Cantina Tacos are based upon authentic-style Mexican street tacos, which are designed using simple, fresh ingredients that customers regard as high quality," said David Ovens, Chief Marketing Officer, Taco Bell Corp.

Cantina Tacos are available in the following three options:

•  $1.49 for a Cantina Taco (Premium Fire-Grilled Chicken, Premium Cut Carne Asada Steak or Carnitas Shredded Pork)
• $2.79 for the Cantina Tacos Bundle (2 tacos of choice)
• $4.99 for the Cantina Tacos Combo (2 tacos of choice with a 30 oz. drink)

The new Cantina Tacos line is currently being promoted through television and radio ads, as well as in-store promotions and social media announcements.

Taco Bell also recently announced that it's adding two new sauces in October to its Border Salsa Packet list.
