Taco Bueno closes 12 units, sells contents

Taco Bueno has closed 12 units in Texas and Oklahoma, according to a news release. The brand is currently auctioning contents from the closed locations online through RestaurantEquipment.bid, with bidding starting at $1 for all items with no reserves. 

The release said that although Taco Bueno has shutted the dozen restaurants, the chain remains up and serving customers in nearly 200 other locations. Early in November this year, Taco Beuno CEO Omar Janjua said the brand had a new management team working under the court-supervised restructuring under Sun Holdings. Part of the restructuring plan includes new investment from Sun, as well as menu developments and remodeled stores.
