Taco Bueno signs on for Great American Dine Out
September 13, 2009
Taco Bueno has signed on to participate in Share our Strength's Great American Dine Out, the company has announced. This year, the Mexican quick-service restaurant will sell $1 donation cards in each of their stores. To get a jump start on their efforts, customers will be able to purchase the cards Sept. 13 –26.
This important event unites restaurants like Taco Bueno to encourage millions of people to dine out to help end childhood hunger in America. All Taco Bueno Dine Out proceeds will be donated to community organizations throughout the country whose programs strive to aide hunger-stricken children.
"It is heartbreaking to know that, each day, many children miss meals," said John C. Miller, president, Taco Bueno restaurants. "Taco Bueno is honored to again participate in The Great American Dine Out as this allows us, and our customers, the opportunity to help end childhood hunger in our great land."
Restaurants across the nation will participate in the Great American Dine Out in a variety of ways, including donating a percentage of sales during the week and collecting donations from guests and/or employees. Share Our Strength has raised more than a half-million dollars for hunger-related programs and anticipates surpassing that amount this year.
