Taco Bueno, a Mexican quick service restaurant chain, has opened its first location in Colorado Springs, Colorado, marking another milestone for the brand, according to a press release.
The Colorado Springs restaurant, the first of three slated for Colorado this year, opened at 7970 N. Academy Blvd. Two more Colorado Springs locations will open this year: one next month at the intersection of Garden of the Gods Road and Hilton Parkway, and the other this fall at the intersection of Tutt Blvd. and Dublin Blvd.
"Taco Bueno is very excited to introduce our unique 'Tex-Mex Made Fresh ' concept to Colorado Springs," said CEO Edward Lambert in a statement. "We were impressed by the number of requests we received on social media from Colorado Springs consumers asking us to bring Taco Bueno to their area. We're responding to them and expect this to be a very strong market for us."
Taco Bueno, which experienced significant sales growth in 2014, also opened four locations in Oklahoma and will open two more in Texas this year, including the chain's first on-campus restaurant located at The University of North Texas in Denton, the company said.
"To accelerate our expansion plans, Taco Bueno is also ramping up its franchising program. We are actively recruiting qualified franchisees," Taco Bueno President Mike Roper said.
