Taco John's gets 'piggy' with breakfast

Taco John’s is offering up its new pork Carnitas breakfast taco LTO, another entry in the seasonal onslaught of breakfast delectables at QSR chains nationwide. The warm flour tortilla contains hand-shredded pork, scrambled eggs, roasted salsa verde and a blend of cheeses, a news release said. The LTO is available through Oct. 22. 

Another penny-saver for school supply-depleted wallets is the chain's new Taco Blitz box. Starting under $6, this new feature includes either a classic crispy or softshell taco with drink, as well as a choice of one of four burritos. 

As for incentives, the brand is offering code-texting customers a chance to win football tickets and other prizes. 

"Football season is finally here, so we’re excited to introduce our Taco Blitz box, which is the perfect meal to enjoy while cheering on your favorite team," Taco John's International President and CEO Jim Creel said in the release. "And our pork carnitas are such a big hit that we wanted to make them available for breakfast as well.”

Taco John’s has nearly 400 quick-service restaurants in 24 states.
