Taco John’s lands 100-store deal

December 19, 2017

Taco John’s has landed the biggest development deal in its history involving at least 100 stores in three Southeastern states, a news release said. Georgia and the Carolinas are the target of a joint development plan by Superior Taco, a current Taco John's franchisee, and American Development Partners.

ADP has experience with other brands, including Church’s Captain D’s and Dog Haus. Superior Taco is led by Ivan Lenoir, an experienced multi-unit operator in the World of Beer franchise.

"Taco John’s has an incredible following and history of success — we continue to be impressed by the brand," ADP Chief Operating Officer Caleb McMillen said in the release. "We can’t wait to introduce these markets to the iconic, quality food of Taco John’s. We have aggressive development plans for the next 24 to 36 months."

Targeted cities include Wilmington, North Carolina; Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Greenville, and Spartanburg, South Carolina; and Augusta, Columbia and Savannah, Georgia.

"The ADP team is great at using their extensive knowledge of the restaurant industry to develop very successful locations," Taco John’s Vice President of Development Van Ingram said in the release. "We appreciate their partnership and look forward to watching them bring our bold and fresh flavors to a whole new market."

The privately owned brand now has almost 400 QSR outlets in 23 states.
