Cheyenne, Wyoming-based QSR, Taco John's International Inc. said it is opening three franchise locations of the chain inside Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores, part of a 10-unit franchise agreement with Love's.
The three new restaurants include locations in Circleville, Ohio as well as Jacksonville, Illinois and Whitehouse, Tennessee.
"It's a testament to our brand and the quality of our franchise system that we are able to continue to grow our footprint amid the pandemic," said Brooks Speirs, vice president for franchise development at Taco John's, in the release. "We're an attractive development partner for convenience stores and travel plazas like Love's because of our high-quality menu, multiple dayparts and flexible layouts."
Speirs will be featured on the June 12 edition of the QSRweb podcast where he'll give us an update on the brand's latest growth and direction. The company also said that in addition to its agreement with Love's, it has an eight-unit franchise agreement in place with Loaf 'N Jug, a Rocky Mountain region convenience store operator.
The company is on a path this year to grow its more than 380 units nationally through franchising. Its franchising requirements for convenience store locations include drive-thru access, a minimum of 100,000 gallons monthly fuel sales and $30,000 monthly inside sales. The brand has locations across 22 U.S. states.
