Mexican quick service restaurant Taco John's debuted Street Tacos this April, sparking an 11.1 percent increase in year-over-year sales during the first week, tripling the company's original goal.
Last year, Taco John's saw a 9.9 percent increase in year-over-year sales during the same period.
"We're serving up two new tacos and a line of premium beverages and calling it the 'Summer of Tacos,'" said Billie Jo Waara, CMO for Taco John's, in a press release. "These new items offer guests a modern twist on a classic taco, and also meet customer desires for healthier fare at a great value."
The company will offer Street Tacos until June 7th.
