Taco John's to open in Detroit area

Taco John's will open a location in Monroe, Michigan, marking the brand's fourth in the state, on Oct. 23. Franchise operator Meritage Hospitality Group is leading the charge for Taco John's entry into the Detroit-area market.
"We are honored to have the opportunity to introduce such an iconic brand to new markets in the Midwest, and to serve our customers with quality ingredients and items prepared daily," Gary Rose, Meritage Hospitality Group president, said in a press release. "We can't wait to bring the Monroe community an explosion of flavor, and to get a taste of Taco John's iconic menu at an incredible value at their new, neighborhood store."
The Monroe location will bring 30 to 40 jobs to the area.
Taco John's was founded in 1969 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The brand operates nearly 400 restaurants in 23 states.
