Taco Maker plans 650-store expansion

March 25, 2008

OGDEN, Utah — The Taco Maker recently announced regional expansion plans that include development agreements with agents in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Illinois, Ohio, Georgia and the Dominican Republic to sell at least 650 stores within the next five years and to open those stores within 10 years.

The Taco Maker Inc. is the parent company of The Taco Maker restaurant, which is the largest Mexican quick-service restaurant in Puerto Rico. TTM's other two brands include Jake's Over The Top, a quick-service restaurant offering hamburgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders, fries, onion rings and ice cream treats; and Mayan Juice, a quick-service concept offering fruit smoothies.

The Taco Maker offers various outlet types, from traditional free-standing restaurants and mall food courts to its nontraditional locations, which complement the dual-branding concept with franchises such as Jake's Over the Top and Mayan Juice.

In 2006, The Taco Maker selected FransGlobal, a restaurant franchise management and marketing company, to provide management support for its national and international expansion model.
