January 13, 2009

OGDEN, Utah — The Taco Maker Inc. (TTM) has announced that the company has opened a total of 15 additional stores in 2008 and has 900 more stores in development in multiple regions of the United States and Puerto Rico as well as in India, Panama, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil, The Dominican Republic, Russia, Spain and other European and Latin American countries.

Currently TTM has more than 50 U.S. units and a total of 185 units under the brands Taco Maker, Jakes's Over the Top and Mayan Juice. The company has 25 new stores slated to open this year.

The Taco Maker restaurant is currently the largest Mexican quick-service restaurant in Puerto Rico and serves popular quick-service Mexican dishes such as tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, salads and desserts. One of the company's strategic marketing initiatives is to implement the use of high profile billboards and other visually stimulating media to target a younger, tech savvy segment of its consumer base.

In just a few weeks, Taco Maker plans to roll out its new flagship product, "The Maker" — a one-pound burrito with almost a half pound of meat — at the suggested retail price of $5.
