TCBY CEO steps down

Tim Casey, CEO of Broomfield's Famous Brands International, has announced his resignation. Broomfield's Famous Brands includes TCBY and Mrs. Fields Cookies.

According to the Denver Post, Neal Courtney, the company's chief operating officer, has been appointed as interim CEO of the company. He has been with the company for more than eight years.

Casey will provide support during a transitional period to find his replacement. He has been CEO for the past three years and has led TCBY through a successful debt restructuring, the launch of a self-service model, new product rollouts such as the Super Fro-Yo and more.

TCBY is expanding its footprint into new markets, with many of the new units being co-branded with Mrs. Fields Cookies. Mrs. Fields Cookies is currently undergoing a rebranding effort which includes a new store model.

Broomfield's Famous Brands International relocated its headquarters from Salt Lake City to Broomfield, Colo., in July 2012.
