TCBY is expanding its footprint in Texas and is hosting a franchise event to celebrate the opening of its newest self-serve location.
The open house, which will provide an opportunity to learn more about owning a TCBY franchise, is from 1-6 p.m. April 14 at the newest store located at Marketplace Center in Temple, Texas.
The Temple store is part of TCBY's developer agreement with Lone Star Yogurt and David Weaver, managing partner of Lone Star Yogurt, to open 200 self-serve locations in Texas in the next 10 years.
"Our Temple store is an important milestone for TCBY because it signifies that we are on track to opening a total of 24 locations in East Texas, Fort Worth, Dallas and Houston by the end of this year," said Tim Casey, CEO of TCBY. "Our open house at this new location will provide an opportunity for potential franchisees to experience our new brand approach and store model and to learn of TCBY's innovation plans for the future."
The Temple store is the seventh TCBY restaurant to open as part of the 200-store Texas expansion planned for the next 10 years. Fifteen additional stores are currently under construction. The new store features TCBY's new self-serve concept, which allows customers to make their own frozen yogurt treat by choosing from available flavors and mixing in a variety of toppings.
