TCBY's dairy-free fro-yo generating 80% sales lift

Silk Chocolate Almond, TCBY's new dairy-free, almond milk-based frozen yogurt option, has generated as much as an 80 percent sales lift at some stores in its first week of availability.

Some locations have already sold out of the new product, which officially launched last week.

"We couldn't be happier with the incredible response by old and new TCBY fans for this innovative new flavor," said Neal Courtney, CEO of parent company Famous Brands International. "We knew we had something special when we teamed up with Silk and we're happy to see that our fans are enjoying our perfect match."

Silk Chocolate Almond marks the company's first (and an industry first, according to a news release) non-dairy, plant-based option allowing guests with dietary restrictions the ability to enjoy TCBY's product.

More inventory of Silk Chocolate Almond will be available by the end of August. The introduction of Silk Chocolate Almond marks the most successful product launch since TCBY brought Greek frozen yogurt to the market in 2012.
