Texas Dairy Queens celebrating anniversary with cone special

Dairy Queens in Texas are celebrating the brand's 75th anniversary with 75-cent cones through April 24, according to a press release.

Fans also can try the new Fruity Blast Dipped Cone, a light purple, cereal-flavored dipped cone.

There are nearly 600 DQs in the state of Texas.

Texas Dairy Queens are operated by the Texas Dairy Queen Operators' Council, a nonprofit organization made up of DQ franchisees. The DQ restaurants in Texas are franchised by American Dairy Queen Corporation and the DQ franchise system includes approximately 7,000 franchised locations in the United States, Canada, and more than 20 other countries.
