The Gyro Shack goes West by (Pacific) Northwest

September 22, 2017

Lakewood, Washington, will soon have a new Gyro Shack on Ridgeport Way Southwest under the operation of entrepreneurs, Todd and Kelly Mulvahill, a news release said. In addition to this location, opening Oct. 9, the Mulvahills also plan to open 13 additional locations in the area as part of the brand's Pacific Northwest expansion.

"We opened our very first restaurant, Papa Murphy’s, in Lakewood back in 1995, so it’s only fitting that we begin our journey with The Gyro Shack in the same incredible community," Todd Mulvahill said in the release. "We have called Pierce County home for the last 22 years, and we couldn’t be more excited to launch this gyro option for our friends and family."

Three VIP grand opening events include one night to thank Papa Murphy’s employees, another to acknowledge Lakewood city and YMCA employees, and a third event to recognize local military heroes at Joint Base Lewis/McChord.

The Greek food option now has a loyalty program, the awards points per dollar spent. Customers can earn $5 toward their next purchase just by signing up, followed by a subsequent $5 rewards for every 50 points earned.

The brand is driving its Pacific Northwest expansion with more than 22 locations planned for the region.
