Cousins Subs is sharing the love through the chain's Make It Better Foundation, which is awarding grants to three Wisconsin non-profits, according to a news release. Cousins Subs formed the non-profit Make It Better Foundation three years ago in an innovative approach to improve the general welfare and quality of life around its locations nationwide.
The three most recent recipients of the foundation's blessings include the youth leadership program, IndependenceFirst, which helps disabled teens transition from high school to either college or employment. Another grant was provided to Children's Community Center in Menomonee Falls to revamp a therapy room for kids with special needs. The third grant went to Port Washington-based Know Thyself to expand life skills learning for under-privileged kids in middle and high school.
A total of $4,000 was given to the three organizations, according to the news release.
