New Units Roundup: New locations from far east to west

Locations sprout up in California, New Jersey and China.

San Diego-based The Baked Bear, an artisan cookie and ice cream sandwich parlor, announced two new locations will open in two North County communities this year: La Costa (located at 7610 Via Campanile, Suite 142 in Carlsbad, California) is slated for a Feb. 7 grand opening and Carmel Valley (at 5950 Village Way #101 in San Diego, California) will open in early April 2015. The La Costa grand opening is planned for Saturday, Feb. 7. The Baked Bear will be giving out free ice cream sandwiches to every guest from 12-4 p.m, the company said.

Cold Stone Creamery master franchisee for China, Shanghai Cold Stone Ice Cream Corporation opened the first sub-franchised Cold Stone Creamery location. YOUCAN, the sub-franchisee group, opened the location in the Hangzhou Zhejiang Province, China, the company said in a press release.

California-based Del Taco, a  Mexican quick service concept, announced that it will enter into the Northeast region with the signing of two development agreements in New Jersey slated to begin opening in 2016, according to a press release.
