Tiffanie Boyd has been promoted to EVP and global chief people officer at McDonald's, effective Aug. 19, according to a company message sent by President and CEO Chris Kempczinski.
Boyd will replace Heidi Capozzi who is leaving the company to pursue a new opportunity.
Boyd will report to Kempczinski and will sit on the Global Senior Leadership Team. She joined McDonald's as the senior VP and chief people officer in 2021, where she led the people function for the U.S. business partnering with leaders, employees and franchisees, according to Kempczinski.
"Tiffanie has a proven track record of success and an uncanny ability to drive organizational alignment and improvements during change," he said in the statement. "Most notably, she launched the People Brand Standards in the U.S., an industry first, and led the development of our McOpCo Total Rewards Strategy, which has led to improved operations and people performance."
Boyd spent nearly 23 years with General Mills prior to McDonalds.
Shammara Howell, current VP and chief field people officer for McDonald's USA, will serve as interim chief people officer for the brand as a search is underway for a permanent replacement.
