Tim Hortons guests and restaurant owners from across North America helped raise $11.8 million during this year's Camp Day on June 4. All funds raised will go toward sending more than 17,000 economically disadvantaged kids to summer camp, according to a news release.
On Camp Day, Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada and the U.S. donated 100 percent of proceeds from its coffee sales to the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation. Guests also supported Camp Day by making in-restaurant donations, rounding up their checks, texting donations and making donations online.
Camp Day is Tim Hortons’ biggest fundraiser of the year, the release said.
